The first company of the SHR group made its humble appearance in 1978 to actively participate in the inland waterway transportation, and today SHR Navigation is a leading participant in transportation of bulk cargo and liquid commodities within Bangladesh. Today the group has its corporate office in Dhaka and operational offices in the port cities of Chittagong and Khulna also branch office in Kolkata, India.
The Chairman of the SHR group, Mr. Sheikh Hafizur Rahman is a noted literati and historian of Bangladesh. His diverse achievements in both the intellectual and the commercial fields have taken him to various corridors and venues and initiated longstanding relationships with various industry leaders, public intellectuals, journalists, dignitaries and heads of states both at home and abroad.
